A female Oompa Loompa claims she is purebred for grey skin AND green hair, which are both dominant traits, is convinced the hospital made a mistake when the baby they brought to here had orange skin and orange hair (which are both recessive traits). How might you explain the phenomena? Her husband says there is no mistake but he has grey skin and green hair as well.

The baby could have inheirted traits from the parents parents genes.

She might have made a mistake and thought she homozygous but was actually heterozygous.

they would have to test the father to see if he is a purebread then they'll know if its there child.

the hospital did not make a mistake the couple have 25 percent chance of have a orange hair baby.the baby had 4:1 chance

the babys can have the same trait as their mother but not their father so which the triats can match just the mothers
